Foundation Park

FAQ

Q. Will my doctor be able to see me here?

A. Most family physicians can’t take time away from their practice to make house calls these days, but with your family physician’s approval, our physician’s assistant or nurse practitioner will be available to visit you at Foundation Park and communicate with your family physician.

Q. Is Home Plus more expensive than Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing?

A. You will be pleased to know our rates are comparable to those of Assisted Living, and considerably less than Skilled Nursing private room rates.

Q. What is included in the rate? Must I pay for a full month or is there a daily rate?

A. Foundation Park utilizes a monthly suite rate. Your personal rate is determined by your specific care needs directed by your nursing plan of care. You are not charged for services you may not need.

Q. If I require a special diet, will that be accommodated?

A. Of course. We have a Registered Dietician consultant available to assist us in providing for and meeting your special dietary needs.

Q. Will I be able to get my hair and nails done?

A. Definitely. We have an in-house beauty salon and have regular visits from a beautician to keep your hair and nails looking fabulous.

Q. I take several medications. Will I need to bring them with me, or do you make arrangements for that?

A. We will arrange for your medications to be packaged in a manner that is acceptable to the state of Kansas for distribution in a Licensed Home Plus Community. We then contract a Senior Care Pharmacy that specializes in medication management for seniors. This includes a regular individual overview of medication types and doses by a pharmacist to ensure reduced side effects and drug interactions.
